Green tea being tested to stop cervical cancer
Tags: arizona cancer center, cancer research, university of arizona[Source: Ginger Rough, The Arizona Republic] - Green tea has long been lauded for its myriad health benefits, but Arizona researchers are trying to actually prove whether some of the buzz is true.
The Tucson-based Arizona Cancer Center is testing a green-tea extract's effect on a group of viruses that can cause cervical cancer in hopes of finding the first non-surgical way of preventing the disease.
