[Source: Jack Central] – In celebration of its research partnership with the Kaibab Paiute tribe, NAU held a recognition ceremony and appreciation dinner in honor of the 12-year collaboration.

The celebration was held in the Southwest Forest Science Complex on Sept. 25 and featured prominent officials from NAU and the Kaibab Paiute tribe.

Since 1997, more than 80 undergraduate and graduate students have participated in research development projects to study and protect tribal land and wildlife.

Carmen Bradley, the chairperson of the Kaibab Pauite, said the research that has been accumulated has been an advantage to both NAU students and members of the tribe. She also said having students participate in activities within the Kaibab Paiute community has been a good experience.
