Just four years ago, the Board of Directors, recognizing Arizona’s potential to become a national leader in the biosciences, chose to devote all of the Foundation’s health care resources over the next decade to help the state achieve this ambitious goal.
We knew we couldn’t go it alone. Only by pooling ideas and resources with others who share this vision could we collectively hope to identify and sustain mutual goals. Though it will be several years before measurable outcomes are achieved, key leadership continues to be engaged and the “needle is moving” in the right direction.
Helping to forge and sustain a highly linked and interactive process — in which research excellence and a growing industry base are pursued simultaneously — is what this Foundation has been about and will continue to pursue. Much remains to be done.
