The University of Arizona has received a five-year, $3-million grant to study childhood asthma from the National Institute of Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Disease.

The research will entail enrolling women in their third trimester of pregnancy and following their children's immune development from birth through age 8. This continues the successful Infant Immune Study underway at the Arizona Respiratory Center.
