The American Association for Cancer Research recently honored University of Arizona cancer researcher Dr. David S. Alberts as the recipient of the eighth AACR Joseph H. Burchenal Clinical Cancer Research Award. The award recognizes scientists and physicians who have made significant contributions to the understanding, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer. Alberts is a professor of medicine, pharmacology, and public health, and director of cancer prevention and control for the Arizona Cancer Center
