ASU's Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering is teaming with the City of Tempe to spotlight research efforts through the Discovery Tour series. The small-group tours through labs of premier scientists focus on research in diverse areas, from surgery to sports, including help for heart patients, the paralyzed, and those who suffer from seizures. The tours are geared toward businesses, venture capitalists, the media, and the community.
The one-hour tours began in October and continue monthly through May. For more information, contact Carolyn Mills at carolynmills@tempe.gov
In October, UA began its Mini-Medical School series, a five-week, evening lecture series offered in spring and fall by UA College of Medicine and taught by faculty physicians and researchers. Subjects range from genomics to West Nile Virus to treatments for depression.
