Von Hoff begins new post

Daniel Von Hoff, director of the Arizona Cancer Center since 1999, started a new job this week as director of the cancer therapeutics program at the Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC). Deputy Director Raymond Nagle will assume Von Hoff's duties during a nationwide search for a new director.
Von Hoff will coordinate the AHSC's cancer research and therapy programs throughout Arizona, and will also facilitate the center's emerging collaborations with Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, the International Genomics Consortium, and the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).
"Dr. Von Hoff's leadership in advancing new cancer treatments for patients has been recognized worldwide," said Raymond Woosley, vice president for health sciences at the University of Arizona. "AHSC and Arizona are very fortunate to have Dan in this new leadership role."
