TGen boosts outside bio interest in Arizona

The Arizona Department of Commerce and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council are reporting a twofold increase over last year in inquiries by biotech companies interested in locating in Arizona. The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is credited by economic development officials as playing a vital role in the increase.

Jeanine Jerkovic, GPEC's director of business development, told the Arizona Republic why. "They are interested in partnerships, and who is in the market, for that reason IGC (The International Genomics Consortium) and TGen are helping make the leap forward."
