[Source: The Aizona Republic] – Arizona State University’s Biodesign Institute plans to establish its new business incubator at SkySong, bringing up to 15 startup companies and their employees to the Scottsdale high-tech center.
The venture, called the Impact Accelerator, was created this summer to invest in young companies that will commercialize the university’s research in areas ranging from children’s health monitors and early cancer detection to sustainable resources and software.ASU would move the companies from the Biodesign Institute’s building on ASU’s Tempe campus to the top floor of the second building at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, said Alan Nelson, executive director of the institute.
