[Source: The Arizona Republic] – Surprise threw a party in April to cut the symbolic ribbon on the AZ TechCelerator, a business incubator launched by the city’s Economic Development Department last year.
Just one day before the party, TechCelerator manager Jeanine Jerkovic was out and the city’s Economic Development Department had fallen victim to budget cuts.
The changeover was disconcerting for the 10 startup businesses that have moved into the TechCelerator’s Bell Road campus. But entrepreneurs said that despite City Hall changes, the TechCelerator seems to be focused on its primary goal of giving startups the office space, resources and connections they need to grow.
