[Source: The Arizona Republic] – Banner Health and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center today will start construction on a new $107 million cancer center in Gilbert.
The center, which will be named the M.D. Anderson Banner Cancer Center, is scheduled to open in late 2011 at the campus of Banner Gateway, located off U.S. 60 and Higley Road.
While the cancer center will join growing list of specialty cancer facilities planned or recently opened in the Phoenix area, Banner representatives say the new center marks a significant milestone for Arizona’s largest hospital network.
