The Central Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair (CARSEF) will support local schools with demonstrable need that are preparing science projects to compete. The main purpose of the ten $500 grants, made possible through an in-kind contribution from Intel, is to supplement teachers and club advisors who are preparing students in grades 4-12 to participate in the regional science fair at Mesa Convention Center, April 10-13, 2006.
The minimum requirements for receiving this competitive grant are:
- Each recipient will present a minimum of 3 projects at the Central Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair (CAREF2006);
- Schools selected will offer club/classroom activities with the purpose of using the time to promote research projects;
- Each recipient will complete the final evaluation.
