Study: Imaging may help gauge Alzheimer’s

[Source: The Arizona Republic, Ken Alltucker] – A study by an Arizona-led research team found that imaging technology shows physical changes in the brains of otherwise healthy people who face genetic risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

The study’s authors say it raises the possibility that such brain-imaging technology may be used in combination with gene tests to gauge whether drugs can effectively slow or ward off the progression of the memory-robbing disease.
