Laying down the law

Over on the Flinn Foundation website, there’s a pithy item on retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor’s visit with Scholars on October 27.

A grand time was had by all, especially the gang of first-year Flinns who pleaded in such mournful tones with Justice O’Connor that eventually she gave in and took a picture with them.

None of the legal experts we’ve consulted can explain why that worked this time, as it never paid off for attorneys who came before Justice O’Connor when she was on the court.
