Breakthru Medicine, a Phoenix-based bioscience company focused on targeted therapy areas that affect cancer patients, has emerged from stealth with the close of a $60 million Series A financing round following a prior undisclosed seed round.
Research at the University of Arizona surpassed $1 billion in fiscal year 2024, according to the National Science Foundation’s Higher Education Research and Development Survey. This achievement positions U of A at the top of Arizona’s research institutions and among the top 20 public research universities in the nation.
