A delegation led by the city of Phoenix—consisting of city officials and biotech startups from the Valley and Taiwan—will be attending the BIO International Convention from June 16-19 in Boston. It marks the eighth year the city of Phoenix is attending the event—the biotech industry’s largest conference.

Cancer diagnostic firm Caris Life Sciences, which has a significant presence in Phoenix, is targeting a valuation of up to $5.3 billion and seeking up to $423.5 million in its initial U.S. public offering. Caris is an artificial intelligence-based precision medicine firm that helps diagnose cancer through its tumor profiling and blood-based cancer diagnostics.
