Banner Alzheimer’s Institute in Phoenix will team with Novartis, a Swiss pharmaceutical company, to test two experimental drugs that aim to fend off Alzheimer's disease in older adults who are at high risk but have not yet shown memory or thinking problems.

Banner Health to acquire UA Health Network, partner with UA colleges of Medicine

Banner Health is prepared to invest nearly $1 billion as part of an agreement to purchase the private University of Arizona Health Network including its two Tucson-based teaching hospitals, partner with the UA colleges of Medicine in both Tucson and Phoenix, and invest substantial sums in clinical and transitional research.

Arizona Board of Regents approves UA research building in downtown Phoenix
