The all-day event will feature a workshop and tabletop conversations facilitated by Flinn-Brown Fellow Catherine Alonzo (2013), CEO and founding partner of Javelina, and owner of CatherineAlonzo.com. Catherine’s workshop will provide Fellows with a framework for problem-solving through an articulated vision, a focus for consistent action, knowledge of core values, and belief in their ability to drive change. Afternoon tabletop conversations will utilize this framework as Fellows engage in seeking solutions to complex problems.

Pre-Convention Activities 

Hotel Accommodations 

We have negotiated a Convention rate with the FOUND:RE Hotel on Aug. 14 and 15 at $119 plus tax/night. We will book a block of rooms for Fellows to reserve. A hotel registration code will be provided when you register for the Convention.

Aug. 14 Evening Reception 

The 2015 Flinn-Brown Fellows are invited to gather for a cohort reunion at the FOUND:RE Hotel starting at 5 p.m. This will be immediately followed by a reception for all Flinn-Brown Fellows who would like to attend. 

We will present the regional Arizona Champion (Northern, Central and Southern) Flinn-Brown Awards at the evening reception, with the Jack Jewett and Network Builder awards presented at the Convention. 

Aug. 15 Morning Yoga and Meditation

On the morning of the Convention, Fellows are invited to a yoga and meditation session at the Flinn Foundation, organized by Fellow Sarah Rose Webber (2017). Coffee and light refreshments will be served. More details to come. 

2025 Flinn-Brown Awards 

Five awards honoring high-impact leaders are granted each year at the Convention: Jack Jewett Award, Network Builder Award, and three Arizona Champion (Northern, Central and Southern Arizona) awards. 

Nominate a Fellow today! All nominations must be submitted by Friday, June 20 at 5 p.m. 

Nominations will be shared with members of the Fellows Council for the final selection. Fellows Council members are ineligible for awards while on the Council. Previous winners are not eligible for an award category they have previously won.
