[Source: KPHO.com] – Seven thousand people die from medication errors each year, and an additional 400,000 are harmed by preventable drug-related injuries in hospitals, experts say.
A new device on the market aims to prevent at least some of those deaths and injuries in hospitals.
Valimed, manufactured by Tucson company CDEX, is a machine that can tell the difference between two drugs that are identical to the naked eye, company COO Timothy Shriver said.
