Flinn Scholars from a variety of disciplines got in touch with their inner artists this month, sketching and sculpting under the watchful eye of nationally renowned painter, John Waddell.

Every year Waddell invites Flinn Scholars to participate in a daylong workshop at his home in northern Arizona. The Waddells open up their studio and provide the materials and models for the Scholars to sketch and sculpt, as throughout the day Waddell gives individual tips and group tutorials.

The trip is one that almost every Flinn takes advantage of before graduation. This year super seniors and seniors joined the freshman, sophomores, and juniors for the day.
