UA’s Steele Children’s Research Center to study autism

[Source: KVOA.com] – The Steele Children’s Research Center at the University of Arizona College of Medicine has been selected to study the prevalence of autism.

It is one of 11 sites selected to receive a four-year Cooperative Agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The “Arizona Developmental Disabilities Surveillance Program” will use the $1.7 million award to continue its work on the identification of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID) in Maricopa County, Arizona.
