You’re invited to attend the year-end poster fair and banquet for Graduate Partners in Science Education (GPSE). GPSE is a science outreach program in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University whose mission is to connect life sciences graduate students with underserved middle school students in the Phoenix area within the context of inquiry-based science mentoring. Since October, eight graduate students from ASU have been working weekly with approximately 45 middle-school students at Phoenix Preparatory Academy to develop, implement, analyze, and write-up science projects, a number of which focused on the flora, fauna, and geology of Papago Park.

The poster fair and banquet mark the culmination of our first year of service and will provide our students and their mentors a chance to showcase their science projects.

The event will take place on Tuesday April 4, 2006 from 6
