Who Will Teach Our Children?
Participants at the 92nd Arizona Town Hall “Who Will Teach Our Children?” called for systematic reform of Arizona’s education system. Many participants were particularly interested in the concept espoused by Town Hall speaker Marc Tucker and the “Tough Choices or Tough Times” report issued by the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE).
On January 29, 2009, NCEE selected Arizona as one of several states that it will support in developing a pilot program based on the “Tough Choices or Tough Times” model.
Efforts to bring this model to Arizona were initiated by a group of Town Hall participants shortly after the 92nd Town Hall.
