The Flinn Foundation’s Matt Ellsworth and Mary O’Reilly, Ph.D., in their interviews with The Commons podcast, explain Arizona’s decades-long rise in the biosciences; discuss the health systems, research institutes, universities, and entrepreneurial spirit driving innovation; and how the sector can align with semiconductors and AI.
“To be able to do this on a statewide level was really quite spectacular. What it has done over an extended period of time is given people … a common goal,” O’Reilly said about Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap.
The podcasts also look ahead to the BIO International Convention in San Diego on June 22-25 where the city of Phoenix and Arizona will have a strong presence. So will Wexford Science & Technology’s Tom Osha, host of The Commons, who will be broadcasting from the Convention floor.
