The Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff reports on the first of three community events the Flinn Foundation held in September to launch the new Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap, which will guide the sector through 2030.
The event on the Northern Arizona University campus featured Flagstaff Mayor Becky Daggett, Northern Arizona Healthcare COO Bo Cofield, NAU Vice President for Research Jason Wilder, and President and CEO of Development Engineering Sciences Robert Kellar.
The panel talked about Flagstaff’s investment in the biosciences through the years and current efforts to advance the sector. The article notes that Flagstaff has a “nationally competitive employment concentrations of medical devices and equipment jobs,” referring to one of the studied subsectors of the Roadmap.
