[Source: Arizona Daily Sun] – Can the cash-strapped city of Flagstaff afford to expand its innovative small business incubator in the next few years?
That is a question the Flagstaff City Council will consider tonight as it reviews the $2 million price tag for its share of a 25,000-square-foot expansion of the Northern Arizona Center for Emerging Technologies atop McMillan Mesa.
NACET has been one of the few Flagstaff job generators during the current recession. So the question for the council might be can the city afford not to expand the incubator.
The 10,000-square-foot facility is nearly filled to capacity, with a waiting list of 12 potential businesses vying to be the next incubator client.
