[Source: Your West Valley] – Despite a tough economic climate and the possibility of five more years of recession in Arizona, Barry G. Broome, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, said he believes the state has untapped potential and a bright future.

Broome gave a presentation to about 50 West Valley business leaders and health professionals Thursday where he asked them to “join GPEC and fight for the future.”

“One of the greatest things about being an American … is the unique sense of optimism. It’s a very American mindset,” he said. “Now we’re sitting here and it’s an important moment for us to grasp on … we’ve got to figure out how to grow this economy.”
