[Source: Lesley Wright, The Arizona Republic] – For Chuck Jeffery, Glendale Community College’s building czar, the new Life Science Building is more than a copper-clad structure.

It is a living thing, a symbol for the lifesaving training that will take place within its walls as nursing, biology and psychology students learn their trades.

The ledges and juts resemble the nose and brow of a face, Jeffery said, with the floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of circulating students and faculty.
