Yolia Health, which has developed a non-invasive procedure for treating presbyopia and low refractive vision problems like myopia, was named the Innovator of the Year for startup companies.
The biomedical company was honored Nov. 14 during the 10th annual Governor’s Celebration of Innovation Awards at the Phoenix Convention Center, presented by the Arizona Technology Council and the Arizona Commerce Authority.
The company’s self-administered True vision treatment (TVT) is a combination of gas-permeable contact lenses and eye drops, according to the company’s website.
The bioscience company is based locally at BioInspire, a medical device incubator in Peoria.
