If you have not already done so, please consider joining us for the annual conference of the Arizona Science Teachers Association scheduled for October 12-13, 2006. Once again, it will be held at the Mesa Convention Center. The ASTA Conference is an excellent way to meet other science educators, share ideas, and work together in advocating standards-based science teaching and learning for all of Arizona’s children. The conference is also an excellent opportunity to explore hundreds of science classroom resources by visiting exhibitors in more than 50 booths.

ASTA appreciates all of its colleagues who are sharing their expertise by presenting a session at the conference. This year’s program includes more than 75 sessions addressing topics that range from biotechnology to guiding young learners in explorations of motion, energy, and ecology. Other sessions will help us take our learners from ocean depths to Mars and beyond. Presenters will share how they promote and attend to standards-based science teaching and learning. Please join us as we all grow in our profession and continue to refine a vision of effective science instruction for learners. For complete details, click here.
