About the coalition
The Arizona NeuroArts Coalition is part of a growing network of regional coalitions born out of the NeuroArts Blueprint, a national initiative co-led by the International Arts + Mind Lab at Johns Hopkins University and the Aspen Institute.
Around the country, local coalitions are putting arts, outdoor experiences, and aesthetics to work for community health. In Arizona, we’re building our own chapter of that movement, rooted in the strengths already here: our artists, health systems, researchers, and neighborhoods.

What is neuroarts?
Neuroarts explores how artistic and aesthetic experiences measurably change the brain, body, and behavior—and how that knowledge becomes practice in clinics, schools, workplaces, and homes.
It is a springboard for programs that use music, movement, visual art, and the outdoors as tools for prevention, recovery, and resilience.
