“We are delighted to welcome Cameron to the Flinn Foundation board,” said Tammy McLeod, president and CEO of the Flinn Foundation.
“During his time on the Foundation’s Investment Committee, his expertise and financial stewardship have been invaluable. Cameron also brings a strong appreciation for the role philanthropy plays in strengthening communities, which aligns with our mission and long-term vision.”
Black began working for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona in 2006. He was promoted to CFO from his previous role of chief investment officer, where he oversaw investment portfolios for the company and related entities, including retirement plans and its charitable foundation.
Before joining BCBS of Arizona, Black served as director of corporate relations for the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) Foundation in Phoenix, where he led fundraising and donor relationship management efforts. Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent investment adviser.

“Cameron brings a valuable combination of financial expertise, nonprofit experience, and engagement in Arizona’s cultural life,” said Dr. Eric Reiman, chair of the Flinn Foundation Board.
“His perspective on long-term investment strategy and responsible stewardship will help ensure the Foundation continues to advance transformative initiatives in bioscience, civic leadership, education, and the arts.”
Black holds the professional designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
