Cameron Black
Cameron Black is chief financial officer and treasurer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. He was elected to the Board in 2026 following four years as a member of the Foundation’s Investment Committee.
Black oversees the accounting, financial planning and analysis, investment and risk management functions for BCBS. He started working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona in 2006. He was promoted to CFO from his previous role of chief investment officer, where he oversaw investment portfolios for the company and related entities, including retirement plans and its charitable foundation.
Before joining BCBS of Arizona, Black served as director of corporate relations for the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) Foundation in Phoenix, where he led fundraising and donor relationship management efforts. Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent investment adviser.
Black is active in Arizona’s financial and cultural communities. He serves on the investment committee for Arizona State University and is a past board member of the Phoenix Symphony Association. He is also a past president of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analysts) Society Phoenix.
He holds the professional designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University and an MBA in finance from the W. P. Carey School of Business.
