Support for a project, in partnership with Mayo Clinic Arizona, to develop a new generation of endoscopic tattoo inks that demonstrate precise spot sizes, minimal inflammation, high retention and low loss from target tissue (e.g. colon), and possess the capability of visualization by multiple clinical imaging technologies, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This follow-on grant, providing $100,000 of continuing support after progress under an initial $100,000 grant over 18 months, is awarded under the Flinn Foundation Translational Research Seed Grant Initiative to support research collaborations between basic scientists and clinical researchers.
