Richard Caselli, M.D.
Dr. Richard Caselli joined the Flinn Foundation Board of Directors in 2011. A behavioral neurologist, he is professor emeritus of neurology with Mayo Clinic’s College of Medicine, where he also served as the Mildred A. and Henry Uihlein II Professor of Medical Research. Previously, he served as chairman of Mayo’s Department of Neurology and as a member of the Mayo Clinic Arizona Executive Operations Team. Dr. Caselli’s research focuses on aging, including Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Dr. Caselli has held adjunct clinical faculty appointments at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University, has served as an adjunct professor at ASU’s Department of Biomedical Informatics, and is a past member of the advisory board of the Center for Services Leadership of the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU.
Dr. Caselli received both his M.D. and bachelor’s degrees from Columbia University in New York. He served an internship and residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and a fellowship in behavioral neurology and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
