[Source: The Arizona Republic] – Kinetic Muscles has been awarded a $2.8 million federal grant to test its stroke-therapy device on patients living in rural areas.

The three-year National Institutes of Health grant will help pay for clinical tests on a minimum of 96 stroke patients who receive care through the Cleveland Clinic and Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.

Kinetic’s hand-mentor device allows patients to do hand exercises in their own home, and therapists can monitor patients remotely through the Internet-enabled device.
