The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is accepting applications for its Summer 2006 Summer Internship Program. The program is open to high school, college, and graduate level students who are motivated independent thinkers with a strong interest in developing research skills through hands-on experience.

The TGen Summer Internship Program provides students the opportunity to conduct scientific research under the mentorship of an experienced investigator. Interns have the opportunity to work side-by-side with TGen researchers to unlock the mysteries of genetic diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, melanoma, and prostate cancer. Summer internships are competitive and generally last 8-10 weeks beginning in late May and ending in mid-late August. Some flexibility exists to accommodate individual student needs.
