Tucson school recognized for its gains in math

[Source: Andrea Rivera, Arizona Daily Star] — Sonoran Science Academy was awarded the Pedagoguery Award from the American Mathematics Competitions, or AMC, and the Mathematical Association of America. The award recognizes a school for its improvement in the AMC 10 and AMC 12 math contests over a three-year period. Sonoran Science Academy math teacher Kadir Bahar is the school’s AMC coach.
