June 22, 2006

By Flinn Foundation

The Western Biomedical Engineering Conference (WestBEC) 2006 is designed to bring together students and practitioners of biomedical engineering and the life sciences for panel discussions, technical sessions, and exchange of ideas important to the future of biomedical engineering. The conference will be November 10, 2006 at Phoenix Convention Center. Conference highlights include:

  • Assisting participants in planning their academic and industrial careers
  • Introducing companies to the talents and skills of students from the western region
  • Exposing participants to innovative research in biomedical engineering and allied areas

The focus of the meeting is workforce development in the biosciences and conference planners actively seek members to serve on planning committees. They’re also looking to find the right individuals to get the word out within organizations or communities. Please forward this e-mail to anyone you believe would be interested in participating. If you are interested in planning this event or if you have any questions, contact Charla Triplett, 480-726-7272, Fax: 480-726-7276. Click here for the conference website.
