The Flinn Scholars Program will hold information sessions this spring to present the benefits of one of the most prestigious merit scholarships in the nation and share strategies to build the strongest application.

Who Should Attend

The information presented will be valuable for all high-school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Parents are also welcome to attend.

These sessions are strongly encouraged, but attendance is not required in order to apply for the Flinn Scholarship.

This year’s information sessions include four in-person programs at university campuses, as well as an online information session.

Who Will Present

Honors-college and admissions staff from Arizona’s public universities—along with Flinn Scholars Program staff and current Scholars—are scheduled to attend the in-person sessions.

How to Apply for the Flinn Scholarship

The class of 2019 will be able to apply for the Flinn Scholarship at flinnscholars.org starting in August 2018. The deadline to apply for the 2019 Scholarship will be in October 2018.

The Flinn Scholarship Program provides an unparalleled package for undergraduate study at an Arizona public university for 20 of Arizona’s highest-achieving high school seniors each year, with more than 600 current and alumni Scholars to date.

Flinn Scholarship Benefits

The merit-based scholarship program covers the cost of tuition, fees, room and board and at least two study-abroad experiences, as well as financial support for an off-campus professional internship. The overall financial package is valued at more than $120,000.

How to Learn More

There are many other benefits that go beyond the financial package. We encourage applicants to learn more about the Benefits and Requirements as well as International Travel and the Internship Program.

Students with application questions can email application@flinn.org, call (602) 744-6802, or talk with their school’s guidance counselor. In addition, application tips and FAQs are available here.

The Flinn Scholars Program is operated by the Flinn Foundation Scholarship Program LLC and supported by the Flinn Foundation, a private, nonprofit, grantmaking organization based in Phoenix.
